How it Works
Bill Chapman (About Bill Here>>) has spent 15 years perfecting the WASCA Wings contouring and ripping strategies that produce a quality pasture in every situation providing cost effective land improvement. His conclusions are:
> Specialist contouring is advisable but not essential if done with WASCA
Wings
> Specialist ripping is essential
> Contouring and ripping must be combined together if there is run off
from the top paddock being ripped
Maximising plant food and water in the soil and subsoil requires:
> Conditioning the soil so that the profile is readily filled. Ripping the
subsoil with WASCA Wings so the penetration and absorption of
water and plant food readily occurs.
> The trapping of water so that runoff does not occur until the profile is full.
While these are simple objectives, their achievement can be another matter without the WASCA Wings approach. General contouring and ripping may still result in erosion and hardpans if not conducted in a specialist ways. If you want an abundant pasture, WASCA Wings provides the solution. Others say >>

To maximise water in the soil profile requires the following:
> Construct large Banks to handle intense rainfall
> Retain top soil on the top of banks for a seed bed
> Plant pastures on Banks
> Build the core of banks with subsoil only
> Construct banks on the contour (nil fall)
> Turn bank ends up to create ponds behind banks
> Build banks in a herringbone pattern across waterways
> Construct bywashes on bank ends nearest to the water course
> Space banks at 100 meters plus
> Rip on the contour
> Rip bywashes to fan water over the maximum area
> Rip to dissolve hardpans
> Rip to leave the surface corrugated
As you can see from the photo top left, “Working WASCA Wings”, three WASCA Ripper Boots are attached to the Bull dozer and pulled behind.

“Water and Soil Conservation Attachment”, referred to as WASCA Wings - conserves water and soil. WASCA Wings lays good foundations by saving water and improving pasture. We believe that Improved pasture = more PROFIT.
